The script logo and sign were designed by Flat Black Commercial Visuals. Double Knot Home thoughtfully reimagined the motel, preserving its original character with proper midcentury vibes to match the building’s history.

We started by creating a kit of parts to build the brand. While the script logo still plays a part, we wanted to create a system that we could mix and match across the experience.

We lean on fonts and colors inspired by the mid-century roots of the space.

We channeled classic car vibes with our lobby sign—and went all-in with a chrome finish. We created so many fun pieces—custom notecards, postcards, pens, keychains, and coasters—to name a few.

Knowing that visitors will often arrive after hours, we made the room numbers bold and graphic so that they would be easily identified late at night.

We planned and shot each room for the website. (Our talent was very expensive and demanding.) Erika Clark was very patient.

We brought South Wind’s website to life with the same design sensibility that had been given to the motel, aligning with the customer experience.
