Joya’s
Inspired by global travels and cafés around the world, Joya’s is a new hot spot in Worthington. We collaborated with chef Avishar Barua to create a beautiful, dynamic, and energetic brand that parallels their craveable menu. The namesake of a very special mom with a flair for throwing the best dinner parties, guests are treated to their incredible flavors, memorable food, and a little fun along the way.
We looked to the bright colors and graphics from the streets of Bangladesh for our inspiration.
Our primary logo is inspired by handpainted lettering. Custom letterforms are topped with the silhouette of a monkey, to which we pay homage to Avishar’s childhood nickname: “little bandar.”
Knowing vinyl wouldn’t do the job, Joya’s storefront comes to life with our handpainted logo and a wood + corten steel sign.
So many colors. So many iterations. So much fun.
A series of patterns make up our toolkit.
We wanted to delight the customer with colorful packaging that comes together to feel like a gift.
Business cards were the perfect opportunity to play with all of the pieces of the brand.
Simple and cost-effective menus are produced on a laser printer on our favorite stock—Insulation Pink from French Paper.
